The Por Larranaga Larranaga 47, also known as the PL47, is a classic “Churchill” vitola, presented in an impressive unvarnished Semi Boîte Nature box containing 50 cigars. This marks the first time a UK Habanos Regional Edition has been released in this format. Similar to previous UK Regional Editions, a vintage papeleta from the brand has been recreated to adorn the exterior of the box.
Unlike most cabinets or boxes that hold fifty Habanos, these cigars are arranged in three rows of thirteen and one row of eleven, rather than being tied together with ribbon. This layout is considered ideal for aging cigars over the medium to long term. Only 1,500 numbered boxes have been produced, available exclusively in the UK market.
The Por Larranaga brand, meaning “By Larranaga,” was first registered in Havana by Ignacio Larranaga in 1834, making it the oldest handmade Habanos brand still in production today. Despite being classified as light to medium-bodied and offering a subtle, easy-going experience, Por Larranaga has earned a reputation for exceptional aging potential. Previous UK Regional Editions, such as the 2007 Magnifico, have proven this and have become highly collectible.
